.MOBI Domain Names
More and more people use mobile devices to access the Internet, so the demand for mobile-friendly websites is steadily growing. To fulfill this demand, the organization that supervises the universal top-level domains, ICANN, established the .MOBI domain name extension in 2005. The first registrations were started in September 2006, and the intention behind this domain extension is that all websites that use it should comply with special terms. In other words, all dot MOBI websites have to be designed to be opened flawlessly by mobile devices in accordance with the so-called “MWI Best Practices for mobile content” established by the W3C Mobile Web Initiative (MWI) in cooperation with the dot MOBI Registry organization. These have to do with how a site is being navigated, the way it is being displayed (form and size), and so on.
The regulations have induced some worries because the generic top-level domain is the only one that specifies what devices ought to be able to open a website and the way in which this must happen, breaking the so-called principles of device independence, according to which a web page should be created in such a way as to be viewed by most web browsers and devices, be they mobile or stationary.
Taking into account that the dot MOBI Registry organization does not register domains directly, you can grab a .MOBI domain with any 3rd-party provider, such as ours. If you have an already active domain, you can also move it over to our company if you obtain its EPP transfer code from your present registrar firm. If you do that, you’ll be able to administrate your domain(s) and hosting account from one place – our Hepsia Control Panel tool.
.MOBI Domain Management with I-Solution Center
The Domain Manager user interface is an essential part of the Web Hosting Control Panel. As such, it's designed to be simple and easy-to-work-with for both experienced site owners and hosting novices. It provides a complete set of domain name settings, meaning that you will have total control over your domain's WHOIS and DNS settings. In addition, it will allow you to manage numerous domains from the same location comfortably - you aren't limited to just a single domain per Control Panel.
And, for those who have a hosting account here, you'll be able to perform both website administration and also domain name management tasks. It's not necessary to sign in to other Control Panels or change interfaces.
